Senate To Hold ‘Special Session’ In Honour Of Former President Buhari Tomorrow
The senate will tomorrow, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, hold a special session in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Senate President, Barrister Godswill Akpabio, who disclosed this during the plenary session held on Tuesday, added that this will serve as an opportunity for members of the Nigerian Senate to talk about the former president’s life and legacy and his contribution to national development.
Buhari, a retired General, who was born on December 17, 1942, died in London on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
He, at different times, served as Military Governor of defunct North Eastern State, Minister for Petroleum Resources during the military administration head by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The late General Buhari became the Military Head of State on December 31, 1983, and he was there until his removal via the coup detat organized by retired General Ibrahim Babangida.
