Senator Gbenga Daniel’s Comments On Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport Project ‘Product Of Hallucination’ -Ogun APC
Ogun state APC has reacted to the submissions made by Otunba Gbenga Daniel with respect to some ongoing projects in the state during a recent interview.
Daniel , who served as governor of the state between 2003 and 2011, currently represents Ogun East Senatorial District in the senate.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that he had in the interview in question claimed that he initiated some important projects during his administration which were underreported because he got bad press.
The former governor reportedly listed some of these projects to include Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport which was started by the Governor Abiodun administration about three years ago and about to be taken to completion with the longest runway and largest apron in Nigeria and West Africa corridor.
The state APC Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye, said the statement Daniel made was nothing but ‘a product of hallucination by a serial failure’.
Oladunjoye alleged that the former governor did nothing to suggest the seriousness of his administration to build any airport in the state, adding that Daniel in his usual character merely announced the proposed airport project and the intended location as a mere political statement for immediate gains.
‘Unlike the deceptive 8-year Daniel administration , Abiodun came on board with integrity, and purposeful leadership skill, which is practically responsible for the remarkable success his administration has recorded in the last five years, and the reason for the present headache of his hitherto traducers, including Gbenga Daniel.
Setting the record straight, like many other failed governors of Daniel type, who merely made political statements about projects to manipulate people’s emotions and deceive them for political gains, the Agro-Cargo Airport situated in the Ilisan-Iperu axis of the state was just one of the thick forest till 2019 when the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration came into being .
Daniel’s successor, Ibikunle Amosun based on the nature of his personality and pattern of reasoning did not even open the file of the proposed airport throughout his eight years in office, the same way Daniel abandoned all the projects left behind by his predecessor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.
The recent interview of having the grand or master plan for what Governor Dapo Abiodun has been accomplishing is not only self-ridiculing, it is simply a sheer hallucination of a serial failure and shameful acceptance of failure on the part of Mr. Gbenga Daniel.
His interview and comments on Governor Dapo Abiodun reek of deep envy and insensitive lack of modesty’ he said.
