Senator Lere Oyewumi Congratulates Senator Jibrin Barau On Receiving Honorary Doctorate Degree From BUK
The Deputy Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi ,has congratulated the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, CON on receiving Honorary Doctorate Degree in Law (Honoris Causa) from the Bayero University Kano.
He has described the honour as heartwarming and a recognition of Senator Barau’s sundry contribution to democratic development and nation-building.
Senator Lere Oyewumi noted that Senator Barau getting honoured with a honourary degree was done in recognition of his stellar performance in public service.
He expressed optimism that this latest honour would spur Sen. Jibrin Barau to carry out more selfless service to Kano, Nigeria, the global community, and humanity in general in years to come.
Sen. Oyewumi added that the 10th Senate has been greatly blessed by Jibrin’s legislative contribution towards the betterment of the country.
