Senator Lere Oyewumi Congratulates Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Rep Bamidele Salam On Their Birthdays
The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi ,has felicitated the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a patriot, a respected parliamentarian, and a committed public officer.
Senator Lere Oyewumi expressed delight at the high level of comportment, diligence and integrity with which the Speaker has so far handled the affairs of the 360 members of the House of Representatives without rancour or any form of disagreement.
He described Abass as a quintessential politician and a lawmaker par excellence, who has added immense value to the lives of the people of his constituency, his state and the nation as a whole.

You have proved that excellence is about serving the people who elected you. You are a great lawmaker who has impacted positively on the lives of the people. Senator Lere Oyewumi prayed Almighty God to grant Rt. Hon. Speaker Tajudeen Abbas; long life, good health and more wisdom as he leads the 10th House of Representatives to deliver quality legislative services to the people and government of Nigeria.
In separate statement, Akogun Lere Oyewumi has also sent a message of congratulations to the representative of Ede North/ Ede South/ Egbedore/ Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam on his birthday.
He has called him a democrat, a tireless fighter for a good cause, and a strong advocate of responsive government.
Senator Oyewumi also described Hon. Bamidele Salam as an erudite legislator and a scholar ,who has brought his experience to bear on the Nigerian legislature.
He noted that since stepping into the National Assembly, Hon. Bamidele Salam has remained consistent in pursuing the enactment of quality legislation and the conduct of robust oversight that have helped to strengthen Nigerian democracy.
