Senator Lere Oyewumi Donates 500KVA Transformer To Islamiyyah Community

In an effort to better the lives of his constituents through the provision of basic infrastructure and social amenities, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi PhD, has donated a 500KVA power transformer to the Islamiyyah Community, Ikire, Osun state.
The senator noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that the need to address the issue of erratic power supply and other inefficiencies in respect of provision of electricity in the Osun West senatorial district necessitated his decision to procure the transformer.
Islamiyyah residents were according to him faced with an acute electricity supply due to the absence of a functional transformer to serve them while urging the residents to safeguard and ensure ‘good maintenance’ of the facility.
He added that electricity supply will improve security in the community, promote small-scale businesses and help to boost their livelihoods through enhanced economic activities. He has also promised to ensure that remedial steps are taken with respect to erratic power supply in Ikire and its environs.
Residents of Islamiyyah Community thanked Senator Lere Oyewumi for the timely gesture of goodwill while lamenting that they had stayed in darkness for months since the old transformer became faulty.
They submitted that Senator Oyewumi’s show of love and his commitment to the development and progress of his constituents and the senatorial district is highly commendable and unprecedented -Team@orientactualmags.com
