Senator Sadiq Condemns Rifun, Kakafu, Gbugbu Bandit Attacks

Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, who represents Kwara North in the senate, has strongly condemned the recent attacks carried out by bandits in Rifun, Kakafu, and Gbugbu communities in Patigi and Edu LGAs while describing the incident as barbaric and unfortunate.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his media office , the senator expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and the trauma inflicted on innocent residents while extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones and praying for the quick rescue of the people abducted during the attack.

Senator Sadiq noted that the safety and security of citizens remain paramount and called on relevant security agencies to intensify operations in the affected areas and across the district to prevent a recurrence of such tragic incidents. He urged security authorities to ensure that the perpetrators and their collaborators are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.

The senator acknowledged the sacrifices being made by security personnel and urged sustained collaboration between communities and security agencies to strengthen intelligence gathering and response.

The federal lawmaker further commended local vigilantes, forest guards and community members for their resilience and cooperation with security agents, assuring them that he will continue to engage with security agencies and government authorities to strengthen surveillance, improve response mechanisms, and provide necessary support for the affected communities.

He reassured the people of Rifun, Kakafu, Gbugbu, and the entire Kwara North Senatorial District of his unwavering commitment to their welfare, and the restoration of peace and normalcy in all communities.
