Septuagenarian, Son Arraigned For Biting Off Woman’s Nose In Ogun
71-year-old Clifford Udouko, and his son, Ekomen, were on Tuesday brought before Mrs. A. O. Adeyemi of the Magistrates’ Court , Otta, Ogun state and they are currently facing assault charges.
They have been accused of assaulting Daramola Olawunmi.
The defendants have also been accused of conspiracy and breach of peace, but they have pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. E. O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendants and others at large, committed the offence on June 5 at about 4.50 p.m. at Ariyo Street, Via Lafenwa, Itele, Ota.
Adaraloye alleged that the defendants assaulted and bit off the complainant’s nose.
The defendants also according to him conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by using offensive language. The prosecutor added that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 390(9), 395, and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Magistrate A. O. Adeyemi later set the bail for the defendants at N200,000 each with one surety in like sum.
The surety must according to her reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to the Ogun state Government.
