Shanga/Yauri/Shanga Reps Seat : Gov Nasir Idris, Bagudu, Others On Campaign Trail In Shanga Ahead Of By-Election

Ahead of the by-election that will be held in Shanga/Yauri/Shanga Federal constituency, Kebbi state on February 3, 2024, Governor Nasir Idris and other Kebbi state APC bigwigs were in Shanga to campaign for the APC candidate, ,Hon. Garba Umar Uba (Bullet) on Saturday.
Addressing APC members and supporters in Shanga, Governor Idris announced that Kebbi state Government in collaboration with the federal government would provide free petrol to farmers for agricultural purposes in line with the 5-point agenda of his administration so as to boost agricultural production in the state.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser, Mr. Yahaya Sarki noted that Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris also said an agreement has already been reached on this issue with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, who he referred to as ‘Sarkin Noma’.
The governor reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to the provision of all necessary moral and material supports to farmers to consolidate on the leading position of Kebbi state in Agricultural production.

Governor Nasir Idris added that the state government has already begun the distribution of solar water pumps totaling twelve thousand to the farmers and would back it up with another distribution of Twenty Five Thousand units of gas powered water pumps to farmers in order to encourage optimum production.
He acknowledged that Shanga local Government has been famous when it comes to farming activities while reaffirming commitment to developing other sectors of the economy including roads infrastructure which has already started in neighbouring Yauri and Ngaski local Governments.
Governor Nasir Idris, who was joined by the state APC Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru to present APC flag to Hon Garba Umar Uba ( Bullet), described him as a well known performer among the people of his constituency.
Governor Nasir Idris thanked the people of the area for their support for his administration and solicited for massive votes for the APC candidate in next Saturday’s by-election.
He described the APC as the party for the people of Kebbi state which is committed to welfarism.
Earlier, the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, told the mammoth crowd of APC supporters that Governor Nasir Idris leading two former governors to Shanga in the spirit of brotherliness was to thank them for their support for his administration, and solicit for their votes for the party’s candidate in the by-election that will hold on February 3.
The APC Chairman, Shanga local Government, Hon Babangida Aliyu and the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Aminu Takware in their separate speeches, thanked Governor Nasir Idris for his support for the agricultural sector which has impacted positively on the lives of the people of Shanga who are predominantly farmers.
They cited the provision of free fertiliser and other agricultural input to farmers in Kebbi state that has led to increased yields in crop production in the area.
They gave an assurance that the people of Shanga Local Government would come out in large numbers to vote for the APC in the by- election.
Those on the campaign trail in Shanga include Governor Nasir Idris , one of his predecessors , who is also the DG of the state APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, the immediate past governor of the state ,who is the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, former Deputy Governor, retired Col. Samaila Yombe Dabai, Hon Bello Dantani who is the State Chairman, Civil Service Commission, the SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, executive members of the APC at the state and Local Government levels, Commissioners, Special Advisers, members of the State House of Assembly, local Government Chairmen, Women and Youth Groups as well as thousands of APC supporters.
A campaign rally has also been held in Yauri Local Government to seek support for the APC candidate, Hon. Garba Umar Uba ( Bullet) and ensure that he secures victory in the upcoming by-election .

Governor Idris expressed joy over the large crowd in Yauri while restating the unwavering commitment of his administration to ensuring developmental projects in Yauri Emirate.
