A member of the Kwara state House of Assembly, Hon Razaq Owolabi on Saturday urged support for all APC candidates in the state and Nigeria as a whole ahead of the 2023 General Election submitting that doing this will ensure a good future for the country.
The outspoken lawmaker in an interview with Team@orientactualmags.com also dedicated his court victory to God and his supporters.
It will be recalled that Justice Mohammed Sani of the Federal High Court, Ilorin, had on Friday affirmed Owolabi’s candidacy .
The lawmaker, who currently represents Share/Oke-Ode state constituency, is seeking to retain his parliament seat next year.
Though he had gotten the APC nomination to stand as a candidate in the upcoming 2023 House of Assembly election but however had a former co-aspirant, Mr Nasir Adekola taking a legal action against him and seeking to have his candidacy nullified.
Owolabi’s supporters had since begun to clink glasses and jubilate.
‘I thank God for the court victory, ‘omo eleran ko je eegun, omo alaso ko si wo akisa’.
I thank His Excellency , Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, all APC members and all members of the ‘Team Owo’ in my constituency , all traditional and religious leaders in my constituency, I say a big thank you to all’ he said.
Asked if the court case had distracted him and how soon will he be hitting the campaign trail?
‘I was never distracted , I have kept my eyes on my goals and talking about hitting the campaign trail, we are not politicians who campaign because of elections , I have never left my people and I have ensured that I visit my constituency every time I visit my people regularly, I urge everyone to join the train and support all APC candidates including the radical man ; Hon Owolabi’ he quipped- Team@orientactualmags.com
