Sins Forgiven Comments: I Know Why Abati Is Angry, I’m Ever Ready To Fight Him-Oshiomole

A former labour union leader, and a one-time governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has submitted that he is ever ready to tackle and fight former presidential spokesperson, Dr Reuben Abati citing his comments during Arise TV’s Morning Show programme.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Senator Oshiomhole said this while appearing on Seun Okinbaloye’s Politics Today programme on Channels Television on Tuesday.
Dr Abati, he noted, had made reference to one of his past comments to taunt him.
‘I was particularly shocked that a senior editor could ask the immediate past governor of Delta state, Okowa, mischievously, I must say, with all due respect, ‘did you get permission from Oshiomhole that your sins will now be forgiven before you decided to decamp to APC? How can you ask that? What is my status? I am in the legislature. Is the legislature responsible for the prosecution of anyone wrong in any way?’ Oshiomhole said.
In somewhat a tit for tat move, the senator mocked Abati and talked about his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) a few years ago.
‘The man who made that statement was at a time invited by the EFCC after he was Jonathan’s spokesman, shamelessly. Thereafter, EFCC arrested him. Was I the one who granted him bail to leave PDP to go where he is?
Even on Labour Day, he was saying some labour leaders who had been involved in picketing and fought for workers; he could not even credit me with the fact that I led the protest. This is a guy who wrote ‘Oshiomhole the people’s president’ when I was president of the NLC.
Rather than crediting me with that, he said when they leave NLC, they now go and become governors’ the former NLC president submitted while adding that he is prepared to tackle Dr Abati anywhere.
‘If you are angry because you wanted to become a deputy governor and you lost an election in Ogun State, is that the reason you are paranoid, that every opportunity you want to abuse me? If you want to abuse me, don’t hide behind the TV; let’s meet in the street and fight it out’ he said.
Recall that Oshiomole, who was then the APC National Chairman, had during a rally in Benincity, Edo State in January 2019, led other party bigwigs to welcome PDP defectors into the party while noting that their sins have been forgiven.
‘We have some PDP defectors. They are, Henry Tenebe, Iluobe….Iluobe means I have done something wrong. Yes, once you join the APC, your sins are forgiven’ he had submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme?
