Skit Maker Who Was Arraigned For Sexualizing Minor In Ibadan, Victim’s Parents ‘Return’ To Custody

A skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi, popularly called ‘Trinity Guy’, who had the Magistrate Court , Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo state capital, ordering that he should be remanded in a correctional facility last month,  was on Tuesday ‘returned’ to custody.

Maruf has been accused of sexualizing a minor in his viral skit video, himself and the victim’s parents were  therefore ordered to be remanded in Agodi Correctional Centre.

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the skit maker  was  brought before Magistrate P. O. Adetuyibi  in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Tuesday  for allegedly sexualizing a 10-year-old girl.

He had gotten arraigned and had charges preferred against him and the victim’s parents last month. They had celebrated the eid-li-adha festival behind bars.

Abdullahi, 31,  and the parents of the victim; Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and Rofiat Ahmed, 29,  were ordered to be returned to custody.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Inspector Oluwakemi Arowosaye had  told the court that Maruf Abdullahi, Ahmed, and his wife, Rofiat allegedly conspired together to sexualize the young girl.

 ‘Trinity on December 17, 2022 sexually abused and sexually exploited a 10-year-old girl in Kuala area, Ibadan.

The offence contravened the provisions of Section 35 (1) and this is punishable under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law 2006’ Oluwakemi said.

She  added that the offence also contravened the provisions of section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo state, 2000.

Magistrate Adetuyibi later adjourned the matter until August 3, for mention-Team@orientactualmags.com
