Southwest: Gov Adeleke Wins ‘Best Governor’ Awards In 5 Critical Sectors
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State at the weekend won the ‘Best Governor’ Awards in five critical sectors of governance during the Annual Global Awards 2025 (Southwest Region).
Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Mr Olawale Rasheed in a statement he issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the Chief Executive of the State of the Living Spring emerged as the overall winner in Infrastructure, Agriculture, Empowerment, Health, and Security categories following a rigorous regional voting process that took place between 1st December and 31st December, 2025.
The awards ceremony held on Saturday, 24th January, 2026, at the Water Crest Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos had stakeholders, public officials, and development partners in attendance.
The statement added that the organizers noted that the governor’s consistent investment in people-centred infrastructure, agricultural revitalisation, youth and women empowerment programmes, improvement of healthcare delivery, and proactive security governance distinguished Osun State within the Southwest region.
Governor Adeleke described the awards as a validation of his administration’s governance philosophy anchored on service delivery, accountability, and inclusive development.
‘This honour reflects the collective efforts of the Osun people and a leadership that believes governance must be felt in the daily lives of citizens accordingly’ the governor submitted while dedicating the awards to residents of the state.
