SRRBDA Top Official, Faruk Gwandu , Commended For Empowering Kebbi Youths

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu  of Kebbi state has commended the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority , SRRBDA, Sokoto,  Alhaji Faruk Madugu Gwandu for empowering unemployed young people in the state.

Bagudu made the commendation in Gwandu,Gwandu Local Government during  the  presentation of items to beneficiaries of an empowerment programme organized by Alhaji Faruk on Saturday.

Governor  Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that 50 deep freezers,100 grinding machines, 70 washing machines, 50 hair dryers and 50 barbing clippers were distributed to young people in the state including women during the colourful ceremony that took place at Gwandu Local Government Secretariat. 

The governor recalled that the donor had extended similar kind gestures to the people of the area, including women, young people and other vulnerable groups .

He urged the well- to- do individuals and people in positions of authority to emulate Alhaji Faruk Madugu Gwandu while expressing happiness that Faruk Gwandu has emulated the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, who has become a blessing to Kebbi State.

‘Kind gestures like this  have been extended variously to various strata of the people of the state and he has never relented.

I must therefore extolled the Minister for what he has been doing to Kebbi and the job opportunities he has  provided to a cross section of people of Kebbi state including those of Gwandu origin’ the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, added. 

Bagudu added  that himself and other people of the state were elated to have Malami as their representative in the Federal Executive Council, saying, ‘he is our worthy Ambassador’.

The governor also lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for being tirelessly committed to the even socio-economic development of Kebbi State.

Also speaking, Malami  said the importance of the epochal event cannot be overemphasized, saying that the kind  gesture would reduce unemployment, youth restiveness and crimes.

He also commended President Buhari and Bagudu for according top priority to the welfare and comfort of the people of the state.

Malami also commended the donor for the invaluable kind gestures and urged other privileged individuals to emulate him.

Other notable speakers, including the former Governor of the state, Alhaji Sa’idu Nasamu Dakingari also said that the indigent people of the state and other Nigerians require the urgent support of their wealthy brothers and sisters.

Dakingari emphasized the need for party unity and called on all APC supporters to vote for Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu and other  APC candidates.

Speaking earlier,  Alhaji Faruk, who is the Madugu Gwandu,  had noted that the  kind gesture was aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the less- privileged people in the area.

He explained that he was able to carry out erosion control, construction of earth dams and other social services with the support of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN.
