Supreme Court: Thousands Of Kebbi Residents Take To Birnin Kebbi StreetsTo Celebrate Gov Nasir’s Victory

Residents and citizens of Kebbi state including women , young people  and supporters of the ruling APC,  came out in their large numbers on Sunday to restate their support for  the Governor Nasir Idris administration.

Hundreds of people from the 21 local governments  in the state took to Birni Kebbi streets  to celebrate the   governor’s victory at the Supreme Court.

Recall that the Supreme Court had on Friday upheld the governor’s victory in the guber election held in the state last year..

The governor’s Special Adviser, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday that  the crowd of supporters  had earlier given   the governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the  Kauran Gwandu a warm welcome  at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi. .

Procession of vehicles including Keke Napep, motorcycles and the  governor’s motorcade passed through major roads in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi .

 Addressing  them  at the Haliru Abdu Stadium, Governor Nasir Idris  called on members of the opposition parties to join hands with his administration to develop the state  ‘since politics is over’.

‘ If other politicians are in politics for the sake of the people,  Iam inviting them to join hands with me for the development of Kebbi state as all processes of litigation from the election tribunal to appeal court and the Supreme Court have been decided, by the will of God Kaura is the Governor’ he said.

Governor Nasir reaffirmed commitment to sustaining  the implementation of developmental projects already started by his administration which are  designed to cover all the local Governments in  the state. 

He solicited for the support, goodwill and prayers of the people for the APC -led administration, promising  that he will deliver on all his campaign promises. 

Gov Nasir Idris gave an assurance that he would provide full security to the people of Kebbi state, saying that security is the basic foundation of development. 

‘ There is no reason we have a government without security in the land, Iam assuring the people of Zuru, Yauri and Augie of full Security for the protection of lives and property.

 We have no other state than Kebbi state, I will continue to garner resources within and outside Nigeria for the state’ he submitted. 

Comrade Nasir Idris reaffirmed that he would continue to imbibe the ideals of justice and fairness in the task of governance. 

He expressed appreciation  to the people of the state for the tremendous support he has continued to receive from the APC under  Abubakar Kana Zuru’s Chairmanship , the House of Assembly under Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwe’s leadership, Commissioners and other Government functionaries. 

Dignitaries who joined the party supporters  in  welcoming  the governor were former Kebbi state governor, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Bello Dantani, former Minister of Internal Affairs, retired General Muhammad Magoro,  APC National Organizing Secretary , Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, state APC Chairman,  Speaker, Kebbi state House of Assembly, SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, Head of Service, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena, members of the national and state assemblies including Muhammad Bello Dallatu.

The  state APC  led by its Chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru,  also presented an award of Excellence and Service to Humanity to Governor Idris for making the party proud through his unprecedented achievements and victory at the supreme Court- Team@orientactualmags.com
