Supreme Feeds: Oba AbdulKadir, Wasiu Tejidini, Bamidele Aluko, Kamil Daud Among Dignitaries As Ganiyu Galadima Hosts Grand Opening Ceremony For New Ilorin Depot

Ilorin, the Kwara state capital,  is now home to quality poultry feed as a new Supreme Feeds warehouse had its grand opening in Olorunda village, Eiyenkorin axis of Ilorin -Ogbomosho Road , on Saturday.

Poultry feed is food for farm poultry, including chickens, ducks, geese and other domestic birds and Supreme Feeds is a subsidiary of Novum Agric Industries, a company that produces and supplies the highest quality animal feed in the country.

Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima, a former ACPN presidential candidate , is the owner of the new depot and attendees of the opening ceremony took turns to commend him for not only engaging in what will boost economic growth but  would also create employment opportunities for the young people in Kwara state.

Giving his opening speech, Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima , who is a Kwara state APC bigwig, recalled how he conceived the idea of  venturing into animal feed business close to a decade ago  as a retirement plan  and  how he has stayed the course despite  facing some  challenges.

‘I’ve conceived this plan a long time but I didn’t envisage that it would materialize this time. I started this project 9 years ago. It has a lot of challenges but I was determined to make it a success story. I’m grateful for this. My plan is to make it a retirement project  in order not to be redundant when I eventually retire because what pisses me off mostly after retirement is redundancy. I’m grateful to God and I’m also grateful to everyone here who  has come to  honour me.

The primary reason for  inviting you here today is to let everyone knows what we do here, and you’ve all seen it now. You’re the people that are dear and very close to my heart.

The purpose of our gathering here for the opening ceremony  is to advertise and sell our products.  Feeds prices are now on the high side  and Supreme is the only feed that is less expensive  and our products have excellent nutritional contents. I’ve shared our prices and farmers will benefit a lot and maximize their profits if they start feeding their chickens with Supreme products. Lastly, promo is going on.

There’s a card inside each bag of our products that  you buy. Once you open it, just keep the card with you and once you bring them back to us, we’ll give you whatever you win. Help us spread this information please ‘ he said.

Sales Rep ,Supreme Feeds, Mr AbdulKadir AbdulGaniyu  also  asserted that the company’s products  have the needed nutrient requirements that will satisfy the needs of poultry farmers in Ilorin and other neighbouring towns.

‘Supreme products, which we all know as pan-agric, have lots of varieties just as other products, one special thing about  the  new Supreme Feeds  is that it stands out,  we have farms in Ilorin that are nearby. They buy directly from the company. They started with our Starter Crumble. At first they were hesitative and they wanted to go for other products apart from our own but I was able to convince them. I enjoined them to start with our Starter Crumble. Without exaggeration, 14-week-old chickens looked as though they’re 16-week-old already. Other farmers also used our products and they share their testimonies when they see the outcomes’ he said.

AbdulGaniyu however urged support for the company and the new depot noting that this would not be taken for granted.

Giving his speech, House Leader, Kwara state House of Assembly, Hon. Oba Abdulkadir Magaji has not only promised to provided needed support for the new depot  but also showed commitment to this by disclosing plans to sponsor young people among his constituents  for poultry farming training  which will also involve getting to know about animal food formulation process,  importance of feeding animals and other things  while those who express readiness to establish poultry farms  among them will be  given necessary support including products available at Supreme Feeds depot.

Also speaking,  acting General Manager, Kwara state Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) , Dr Wasiu Olayinka Tejidini commended Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima for establishing the new depot noting that he has through this made  a significant contribution to the economy of the State of Harmony.

‘You may not know the value of what you’ve done but it shows how patriotic you are. Firstly, we are all aware of the state of our economy and our young people are striving to make ends meet. No matter how small this establishment is, surely a considerable number of young people will benefit from it.  At a time like this, if you employ or empower an individual, it is equivalent to getting 10 people employed because he’s not going to reap the benefits alone. Especially in our society, there will be families and relatives who will depend on the person you have employed. Let’s assume 10 people are employed here, if you multiply the number by 10, it shows that you’re feeding at least hundred people.

Secondly, before our governor joined politics he  in the   private sector  and part of his agenda is for every Kwaran to be self-sufficient. Even government workers these days are complaining, especially in our society because a salary is not only meant for the earner. Apart from the fact that  people will  work and get paid here, in the next 5 years, your employees would have understood the business better, and, by then, they’ll be planning to set up their own business. It shows that you’re a leader who’s also producing prospective leaders.

Thirdly, there will be some benefits that  the government will get from you, in terms of taxes. No matter how small, there will be certain amount that will be going to the government  coffers. By doing this, the government will be able to provide infrastructure in the state’ he said.
