Take Action On Budget, Cabinet Nominations Without Delay, Rivers Assembly Tells Gov Fubara
Rivers State House of Assembly held its first plenary session on Thursday after the end of the six-month emergency rule.
The plenary session held at the conference hall, legislative quarters, Port Harcourt, the state capital, was presided over by Speaker Martins Amaewhule.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the House of Assembly has asked Governor Siminalayi Fubara to make the names of commissioner-nominees available without delay in order to hold ‘confirmation hearing’ for them.
Governor Fubara was also asked to immediately begin the process of putting together an Appropriation Law for the remaining part of the year.
Recall that all elected political office holders in Rivers State who were suspended for six months in March this year had on Wednesday gotten the go-ahead from President Bola Tinubu to return to office.
