‘Technical Hitch’ Responsible For Delay In Payment Of February Salary-FG
The Federal Government has blamed a technical hitch for the delay in the payment of February salary to workers while noting however that the payment is underway.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the reason for the delay in the payment of February salary was explained in a statement issued by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation on Monday.
‘The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation has commenced the payment of February 2026 salary to Federal Government treasury-funded workers. Payments began on Monday, March 2, 2026.
The Office explained that the delay in the payment of the February 2026 salaries was due to a technical hitch, and it has been tackled, and necessary measures have been put in place to prevent a recurrence’ Bawa Mokwa, who is the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, submitted.
The statement also touched on progress on outstanding wage awards while adding that part of the arrears has been cleared.
