67-year-old Dr Rahmon Adedoyin, who is a popular businessman in Osun state , is now on death row.

Justice Oyebola Ojo of the Osun state High Court has found Adedoyin and others guilty in the murder of Timothy Adegoke and they are now on condemned row.

 

 

  Adedoyin, who is  the Maye of Ile-Ife, had gotten in the soup following the death of  Adegoke Timothy at his hotel two years ago.

 

 Timothy , an MBA student  at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, had on November  5, 2021 lodged at a hospitality outfit  that belongs to Adedoyin;  the Hilton Hotels and Resorts , Ile-Ife .

The hospitality outfit has 120 guestrooms and the deceased person’s hotel room number was 305.

Timothy  was said to have been murdered while his body was later buried in a shallow grave near the hotel.

Adedoyin and six  staff of the hotel; Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwole Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem, Adebayo Kunle and Adedeji Adesola were consequently arrested and had murder charges preferred against them.

They were accused of conspiracy, murder, felony, indecent interference of the corpse, alteration, and cancellation of receipt and oath-taking to prevent justice.
