Titi Daibu: Gov Abdulrazaq, Ex-Gov Ahmed Offer Condolences
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has described the death of Justice Sofiyyah Titi Daibu as a painful loss to Kwara state, describing her as one of the shining lights of the bench in the State of Harmony.
The Governor noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday morning by his Chief Press Secretary , Mr Rafiu Ajakaye that the death of the senior High Court Judge was shocking.
‘This, again, is a huge depletion in the ranks of the great minds in our state, especially in the judiciary where she was a leader with a difference.
Our commiserations go to the judiciary in the state and Nigeria, the Ilorin community as a whole, and especially her families on all sides. Our consolation is that Justice Daibu was an exemplary figure, loved within and outside of the bench for her good nature.
We pray Allah, exalted is He, to repose her soul in al-jannah Firdaus and comfort her family’ he said.
Abdulrazaq’s immediate predecessor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has also commiserated with the Daibu family over the death of Justice Shafiya Titi Daibu.
In a condolence message, Alhaji Ahmed offered his sympathies to Justice Titi’s husband, Barrister Lanre Daibu and his family, urging them to take heart, accept the death as Allah’s will and take consolation in the deceased’s worthy life.
‘I am deeply and personally pained by Justice Shafiya Titi Daibu’s tragic demise. My thoughts and prayers are with my dear friend, Barrister Lanre Daibu and his family at this difficult time as we mourn the passing of his beloved wife, Justice Titi Daibu’ he said.
Ahmed described the late Justice Daibu as an accomplished jurist and a woman of substance whose standing in the community complemented a sterling career on the bench.
While consoling the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari(CFR), and the Kwara State Judiciary over the sad loss, he also prayed Allah to forgive the late Justice Daibu and count her among the favoured in Aljanah- Team@orientactualmags.com
