Tribunal Ruling: It’s Victory For Democracy, Nigeria- Former President Buhari
Former President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, expressed his satisfaction with the rulings delivered by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which affirmed the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the presidential election held on February 25, 2023.
Former president Buhari in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Garba Shehu, on Wednesday, said the Tribunal has ‘written history’ by withstanding intimidation and all manner of prejudice to deliver justice according to law and in deference to majority of Nigerians that had the decision they made during the election in question respected.
‘If anybody has won today it is the democracy and the people and with the verdict of the tribunal , the election period is over, and it is time to put the heat and dust behind us.
From here, the new APC administration led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should get the support of everyone in order to deliver the promises it made to the people’ he said.
The former President also expressed his appreciation to all Nigerians for maintaining peace throughout the period and prayed for continued progress and development under the APC government.
