Umahi Hints At 2031 Presidential Run, Reasserts Southeast Governors’ Support For President Tinubu’s Re-election Bid

Minister of Works, Mr David Umahi, has, once again, asserted that all the sitting governors in the southeast have declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid which would be activated during the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the minister, a former governor of Ebonyi State, said this in a video made available on Instagram by @peopleofebonyi_, Ebonyi 1st Choice News Media on Sunday.

Umahi also hinted at possible presidential run in 2031 citing his ‘report card’ as governor of Ebonyi State ditto his job performance as Minister for Works.

 ‘All the governors of the Southeast are supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

When the presidency comes to the Southeast, I should be at the forefront because of my performance. God used me to better Ebonyi State, and Tinubu is using me to better the Southeast’ he said.

Recall that Umahi had in May this year, asserted that all Southeast governors, regardless of their political affiliations have declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The Southeast, he asserted, has witnessed a new wave of federal attention and infrastructure development under President Tinubu.

‘The Igbo man is enterprising and blessed with God-given wisdom. What Ndi Igbo seek is fairness, a Nigeria that treats every zone equally. That is what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing.

Before, when I was governor and deputy governor, one of our major concerns in Ebonyi State was the lack of federal presence. But today, nobody remembers that issue anymore.
