‘Undaunted’ Wale Adedayo  Accuses Gov Abiodun Of Engaging In Financial Inducement, Says It’ll Be Laughable To Say He ‘s Been Suspended

Mr Wale Adedayo, who  has gotten recognized as the ‘man of the moment’ when it comes to Ogun state politics.,  has submitted that he would be challenging his suspension by Ijebu East Local Government lawmakers.

Mr Wale Adedayo  had accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of diverting  funds meant for Local Governments in the state, adding that the governor had begun to do this since 2021 .

He had  in a letter sent to  Chief Olusegun Osoba, on Sunday alleged that over N10.8 billion fund of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme was also diverted by the governor.

The seven councilors in Ijebu East Local Government led by the Speaker, Mr.  Fasheyi Adesuji, from Itele Ward 7, had on Thursday morning suspended Adedayo  for three months and they cited ‘maladministration and financial mismanagement’.

The  lawmakers accused him of using N8.2 million to procure 20 tables and chairs for  primary schools  in the local government and also misused N35million  among others.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Adedayo has however described his purported suspension as a ‘hoax and one that was forced down the throat of the lawmakers having been allegedly given N1million each’

‘The suspension or impeachment of a local government chairman ought to follow due process. The first stage is a letter to me about the so-called infractions.

Of course, they came to the Council secretariat with more than 100 armed policemen this morning along with thugs and agberos. They thought we were going to react violently as they had prepared. We are in a democracy. We’ll challenge them democratically.

All the allegations are baseless and without foundation. They forcefully marched the Clerk of the House to Abeokuta yesterday along with the local government’s HOLGA. So, we knew what the governor was up to before the charade of this morning. Two of the councilors were led to the council at gunpoint. And immediately they finished all of them were taken in a vehicle to Abeokuta.

Of course, I was told that N1milion was given to each person who signed. We are not bothered.
