Unilorin VC Congratulates Emir Of Ilorin On His 29th Coronation Anniversary
Vice- Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on his 29th coronation anniversary.
Professor Egbewole in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, noted that the reign of the Emir has not only been eventful but also very peaceful and progressive.
The Vice- Chancellor, who is also the Secretary-General of the Association of West African Universities (AWAU), described the Emir as a great leader who deserves to be celebrated for his exemplary contribution to nation-building before and since becoming a monarch in 1995.
Prof. Egbewole said the Emir has been a father figure to all and a great supporter of the nation’s most sought-after University.
The Vice -Chancellor, who pointed out that the University and particularly his administration, has been enjoying a good relationship with the Emir, called for more collaborations between the University and the Ilorin community.
