US Says Visa Applicants ‘ll Henceforth Undergo ‘Social Media Screening’
Following the new directive issued by the United States government, visa applicants will henceforth have their online presence on social media assessed and this will focus on their public posts and comments.
Team@orientactualmags.comlearned that the U.S. Mission in Nigeria disclosed this in a social media post while noting that applicants are required to list all usernames or handles they have used on every social media platform as they fill out the DS-160 visa application form.
‘Visa applicants are required to list all social media usernames or handles of every platform they have used from the last 5 years on the DS-160 visa application form.
Applicants certify that the information in their visa application is true and correct before they sign and submit. Omitting social media information could lead to visa denial and ineligibility for future visas’ the US Mission submitted in the social media post-Team@orientactualmags.com
