Veteran Politician Shuaib Oyedokun Congratulates Owa Obokun Of Ijesaland On His 77th Birthday.
A prominent politician in the country, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun has sent a message of congratulations to Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup on his 77th birthday.
Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, who is the Oluomo of Inisa, in a statement he issued in Abuja and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com called the quintessential monarch an ‘illustrious leader’ and ‘an apostle of reformation of Ijesaland and the restoration of its lost glory’.
Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, who was born on September 19, 1948, turned 77 on Friday, September 19, 2025.
‘At the mention of the name of a man of valour, it is culturally pertinent in this part of the world to valorize his tribute with the eulogy of his heroic achievements.
It is therefore my heartfelt joy that in wishing His Royal Majesty, Oba, Dr. Clement Adesuyi Haastrup a happy birthday, I do assert here with confidence that he is an ethicist of no mean order.
Sufficient here to quote from Albert Schweitzer’s ‘Civilization and Ethics’ wherein he submitted that ‘although, it is political and economic questions that the present day prescribe for study, we can however accomplish the problems of political life if only we approach them as men who are trying to think ethically.
All those who in any way help our thoughts about ethics are working for the coming of peace and prosperity in the world. They are engaged in higher politics and higher national economics’.
Oba Adesuyi’s greatness in all fronts makes his ascendancy to the paramount kingship of Ijesaland a credible journey which endeared him to the warm embrace and approval of Think Tanks who had zealously yearned for and met in him, an Apostle of Reformation of Ijesaland and the Restoration of its lost glory .
He was not only born great as a Prince, he also attained greatness by dint of hardwork while his many laudable attainments stood him in good stead and made him become a ready candidate for kingship.
His integrity and greatness have accorded him a pride of place not only in Ijesaland, but also in the state and the country as a whole.
There’s no gainsaying that the rapid social and economic transformation sweeping across Ijesaland today is a direct result of the patriotic fervor embodied by Oba Clement Haastrup.
