Welfare Tops Agenda As Kwara Govt Officials, Labour Leaders Meet In Ilorin

Members of the Kwara state Government Committee led by the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mahe held a marathon meeting with Labour leaders in the state on Friday with issues of welfare of workers and maintenance of industrial harmony topping the agenda.
Deputy CPS, Government House, Mr Mashood, Abdulrafiu Agboola, who disclosed this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Saturday, noted that the meeting was attended by top government officials, including the Chief of Staff, Government House, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s Senior Adviser and Counselor , Saadu Salau; Senior Special Assistant on Labour Matters Alhaji AbdulKareem Onagun; the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye; Permanent Secretary (Establishment) Alhaji Muhammed Ibrahim Muhammed; and former Special Adviser on Special Duties Alhaji Abdulrazaq Jiddah.
He also noted that labour was represented by the state NLC Chairman , Comrade Muritala Saheed Olayinka; TUC Chairman, Comrade Joseph Tunde Meshach; and the Chairman of the State Joint Negotiating Council Comrade Saliu Suleiman.
‘Frank, yet conciliatory, both parties acknowledged that the meeting recorded appreciable progress on account of the good faith, openness, and patriotism on the two sides.
The meeting also agreed that things can always improve on an incremental basis and understanding of issues deepened as the two sides continue to engage in good faith’ the statement added– Team@orientactualmags.com
