We’ll Use Sure-P Refund For Payment Of  Outstanding  Salary  ,Gratuity Of LG Workers, Others-Kwara Govt

Kwara state Government has disclosed that the N3,529,734,298.96 SURE-P (ECA) Refund  that was received on behalf of the 16 local governments in the state  will go into payment of parts of the outstanding salary   of  SUBEB teachers, local government workers, and other categories of workers and officials in the state. 

‘In line with the administration’s commitment to using any extra funds to steadily offset the  unpaid salary of the SUBEB and local government workers and other categories of persons owed by the past administration, a decision has been taken to use the N3.5 billion SURE-P Refund to pay the workers. This is a show of good faith and a reassurance that every kobo owed to the workers by the former administration will be paid at every opportunity because it is their legitimate right’ Oba Azeez Bolaji ,who is the Press Secretary of   the  Ministry of Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs  and Community Development, submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday.

The statement listed the planned  part-payment  to include gratuities of  retired local government workers, outstanding Salary of  SUBEB and local government workers, traditional rulers, and a pay raise for  SUBEB and local government workers that were promoted.

‘It is important to note  that these arrears totaled N11,112,233,818.20, so the ECA Refund will go into paying parts of it, just as the government has been using any extra funds or savings (after meeting their obligations) to steadily offset the huge arrears’  the statement added- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
