What I Achieved Through My Famous ‘Emi Lokan’ Quote–President Tinubu…You Were ‘Divinely Inspired’-Awujale

‘It is a homecoming and I owe so much to all of you and there is so much to thank you for. Because of the way you have taken me and the way you’ve responded to me, all I can say is thank you.

To many of you, thank you for being there for me and being there for the country. You have demonstrated so much loyalty, so much commitment and you have voted at a very crucial time.

Your monies were confiscated. The cash swap didn’t work. It was terrible then. I realized that and I came to Ogun state to invoke the spirit of freedom for which we are noted for.

 I invoked the spirit of freedom in Ogun.  I invoked that spirit twice.  The spirit of Baba – Emi lokan (it’s my turn), that’s Baba. The spirit for being blunt and that is him.

And the second spirit is that of money (Naira scarcity), ‘ama dibo ama wole’ (we will vote and we will win) even if there is no money. And that, ever since, has been the spirit that is driving me to serve’ President Bola Tinubu submitted on Thursday while commenting on  two of his famous pre-2023 presidential election quotes.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that he did this during his visit to a prominent traditional ruler, Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, Oba Sikiru Adetona at his private residence in Ijebu-Ode .

He had also while expanding on the famous and powerful  quotes in question  looked in the direction of Oba Sikiru Adetona  to show that  he was referring to the  top traditional ruler each time   he said (baba).

It will be recalled that Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , Professor Mahmood Yakubu  had declared  Asiwaju Bola Tinubu , who was the APC presidential candidate,   winner  of the 2023 Presidential Election held  on February 25 , 2023 .

Tinubu had 8,794,726 votes , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who was the PDP presidential candidate, got  6,984,520 votes,  Peter Obi  had 6,101,533 votes while the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso  got 1,496,687 votes.

He was sworn in as president on Monday. May 29 , 2023.

Oba Sikiru Adetona, has also  said  the ’emi lokan’ quote was divinely inspired noting that there is absolutely nothing anyone can do by himself except   God has ordained such.

‘There is nothing anyone can do by himself except what God wants for such a person.

God spoke through you that it is your turn and may it not lead to death’ he said.

Apart from launching his famous ‘emilokan’ quote in Abeokuta ahead of the APC presidential primary election  held on June 8  2022 , Tinubu had also returned there in January 2023 to note that the naira redesign exercise that had made Nigerians feel uncertain when it comes to what lied ahead of them and the scarcity of petrol that had hit the country , were products of efforts of those seeking to stop the APC from retaining its status as a ruling party.

He had said this during the presidential campaign rally held by the party  at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun state

Tinubu ,who arrived in Ogun state in  a presidential chopper 5N FG2, Nigeria Airforce, landed at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode  at exactly 10.18 am.

Speaking at the palace of the Alake of Egbaland,  President Tinubu said he now knows what it takes to be the President of Nigeria and he has also urged all Nigerians to promote national unity.

‘At least, we delivered, despite the hardship of no money, no fuel, I credit you, thank you. I don’t know that it will be like this, I just wanted to sneak in and sneak out, to greet kabiyesi now, I know exactly what it is to be a president.

Having achieved the prayer point of ‘Emi lokan’ and then being here, I have redeemed a pledge that I will be back with victory and the crown.

Now, what I ask for is prayers that will help the country and we are determined to help our country, to steer the ship of the nation, build a good team, be positive for this country, and deliver on all the promises that I have made.

The hope is recharged, is here. That hope will never fade. That hope will recharge your life in a positive manner.

I’m here still making that pledge of the campaign promise that there is no difference between us and any members of the Nigerian family.

I have seen that in France during this discussion and we are the children of the same parents living in the same house, we are only sleeping in different rooms, just recognize that.

 Let us be united, no distraction, we will arrive at the destination, a positive destination for this country and it is all in our hands to make history and I promise that.

We will see positive changes as we move along, just go through these baby’s steps of pain, baby steps of pain, I’m taking baby steps as the President, not matching in a hurry, being ready to listen, maintaining an open door policy, let the freedom flow, let the confidence return to Nigeria.

This country is the only country that we have. I have been a refugee, I know what it is to be a refugee in another country and my green passport is what I still have now.
