Why I Appointed 100 Constituents As Aides, They’ll Begin To Draw Salary This Month- Senator Natasha
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the senate, has commented on her recent appointment of 100 people among her constituents as aides noting that she had done this to ‘bolster our representation’.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that she did this through a statement issued by her Chief Press Secretary, Arogbonlo Israel on Friday.
The senator noted that the aides who were chosen from the 57 wards in the senatorial district, will also be receiving monthly salary till the end of her tenure in the National Assembly.
‘As the Senator for Kogi Central District, I felt it was important to enlist the support of 100 energetic individuals from all the 57 wards of Kogi Central to bolster our representation.
These individuals, comprising people of all ages and from various professionals and artisan backgrounds, not only cover the geographical expanse of our communities but also bring diverse skill sets.
They will receive a monthly salary for the duration of my tenure as their senator in the National Assembly, with the first salary to be disbursed on June 30, 2024’ the senator said.
Recall that Uduaghan took oath of office during the plenary session that was held on Thursday, November 2, 2023
