Why I Couldn’t Join Other Prominent Nigerians To Welcome President Tinubu To Kano-Ganduje
Former governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje on Saturday gave reasons for his absence in the state during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to the ‘Center of Commerce’ yesterday.
Recall that the president had visited the state to condole with the Dantata family over the death of Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Ganduje, who is the immediate past National Chairman of APC, noted in a statement issued by his former Chief of staff, Malam Muhammad Garba that he was absent during the president’s visit to Kano because he had a pre-scheduled personal engagement in London.
Contrary to speculations that the former governor is either feeling unwell or he intentionally stayed away from the state, Garba said Ganduje was informed of plans by the president to visit the state but despite efforts made to reschedule his flight and itinerary, it was however impossible for him to return in time.
‘Dr. Ganduje made every effort to adjust his plans but was unable to do so. However despite being abroad, Dr. Ganduje remained in constant communication virtually every hour or two with key party leaders, including the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, and the APC Kano state Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, to ensure smooth coordination for the President’s visit’ he said
The statement also clarified and asserted that Ganduje’s resignation as APC National Chairman has not in any way affected his relationship with the president .
‘The APC in Kano remains fully united, loyal, and committed to the vision and leadership of President Tinubu he added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
