Why I Left Etisalat For MTN In 2013 … What I Have ‘Gained’ From Not Having ‘Extramarital Affair’- Hafiz Oyetoro

A lecturer at the  Department of Theatre Art , Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education,  Lagos state, who is also a popular actor, Mr. Hafiz Oyetoro,  has disclosed and asserted that he neither drinks alcohol nor smokes.

He has also shed some light on getting featured as main character in a 2013 MTN advert where he said ‘I don port o’.

Oyetoro popularly called ‘Saka’ had before then become a regular face in the TV adverts sponsored by  Etisalat (now  called 9 Mobile).

Team@orientactualmags.com learned  that  Saka while talking to journalists, has explained and asserted that he did not do this because of ‘monetary gain’ as many had assumed.

‘It is very important to maintain one’s integrity and discipline. I also want to correct the notion some people have that I abandoned Etisalat because of money. The truth is that I did not have any official engagement with Etisalat as their ambassador. I was just a model working with an agent who was handling Etisalat’s account. I did not have anything to do with Etisalat.

Rather, I had something to do with the agent, and as of that time, my contract with the agent had expired. Another agent then called me to be an ambassador for MTN, and that was it. If anyone contacts Etisalat or MTN, that is the same thing they would be told. Money is important, but I do not allow it to mess with my integrity’ he said.

Saka also said he has gained so much from not engaging in ‘extramarital affair’ and staying away from alcohol and cigarettes.

 ‘I have to appreciate my wife, because she has been a pillar in the family. I have never regretted marrying her. The best thing that can happen to a man is to marry a woman who shares his vision. My wife really shares my vision. Even when I am not at home, everything goes on smoothly.

 I don’t drink alcohol. Neither do I womanize or smoke. So, all the money I would have spent at beer parlours is spent on my family.
