Why Kwarans Are Duty-Bound To Support Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s Transformation Agenda-Jimoh Idris

I was at the Ilorin International Airport, Ilorin, to pick up a septuagenarian a few days ago. He had not visited the country since he left close to three decades ago, and as I took him on a mesmerizing drive through the streets of Ilorin, the state capital, he made a sudden remark expressing surprise at the transformation he had seen when we got to the post office area.
He saw the aesthetic appeal, and what he said resonated in my mind ‘We’ve never had it this good since 1967’.
While still commenting on the awe-inspiring aesthetic appeal, we got to Ahmadu Bello Way and after seeing the ongoing infrastructure projects left and right, he added that ‘we know that all these have been made possible because of His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s visionary leadership’.

I made a passing comment and said, ‘His visionary leadership and impactful performance that have been shown through the delivery of dividends of democracy to every corner of the three Senatorial Districts and the magnitude of his achievements in the state has further endeared him to the people of Kwara State at home and abroad’.
I added that everyone, who has visited Ilorin in recent months, has gotten struck by the sheer magnitude of progress noting that this wasn’t just a coincidence but a product of a well-crafted blueprint.
It is a known fact that the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration has brought Kwara State from stagnation to rapid development, his commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability has earned him widespread acclaim.
The impact extends beyond Ilorin’s borders. as Kwara indigenes in the Diaspora have taken notice of this, sharing stunning images of the transformed city on social media. The response has been overwhelming, with many pledging supports for the current administration in the state.
Leaders from the Emirate and elite circles have reechoed this message, vowing to sustain the current momentum. They have recognized and emphasized the importance of continuity in leadership in order to ensure that Abdulrahman’s blueprint remains a guiding force.
There was a note of optimism in his voice as ‘our guest’ spoke about the future of Kwara State and as I reflect on the conversation, I had with this prominent Kwaran, who lives abroad, I was also full of hope that things would change for the better and Kwara’s transformation has actually served as a shining example of what a visionary leadership can achieve.
‘Good governance, good opportunities, good people – we can continue to live harmoniously in this beautiful state’ I had submitted.
Iam firmly of the opinion that every well-meaning resident and citizen of Kwara State is duty-bound to support Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s transformation agenda-Comrade Jimoh A Idris, who is popularly called Blinker, writes from Ilorin, Kwara State
