Why President Tinubu Should Be Re-elected In 2027…Allegations Against His Administration Not Backed With Facts-Onanuga

Allegations raised against the President Bola Tinubu administration by some northern politicians are untrue and not backed with facts, the president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, has submitted.

The president should also according to him be supported and made to get re-elected in 2027 like his immediate predecessor, late Muhammadu Buhari had done, while politicians from the north should wait until 2031 before seeking to become president.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mr Bayo Onanuga, who said this during an interview with Trust Radio on Wednesday, also described the complaints from the Arewa Consultative Forum about marginalization as a veiled attempt to undermine ‘Southern presidency’.

‘This President is a Nigerian. He deserves the same two terms that Buhari had. Let’s not sacrifice the country for personal ambition’ he said.

He also faulted claims that the north has not been treated fairly in respect of infrastructure projects and appointments.

 ‘You need to get your statistics right. It’s all political mischief designed to undermine the President. There are bad roads across the country, not just in the North.

The National Security Adviser, Chief of Defence Staff, and the two Defence Ministers are all Northerners’ he noted.

The president’s spokesman also noted that there has been an improved security in some parts of the North especially Kaduna State.

‘Places like Birnin Gwari and Igabi (in Kaduna) are now safer.
