Woman Seen In Viral Video Tearing My Passport Making A Skit, Man Confesses…Apologizes To Nigerians

Woman Seen In Viral Video Tearing My Passport Making A Skit, Man Confesses…Apologizes To Nigerians

A video that surfaced online last week had made the couple be in the spotlight.

In the viral video in question, a woman had torn her husband’s  passport  on their arrival  at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

This development had earned the attention of the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, which made it launch a probe into the incident on Monday.

Spokesman for the NIS, DCI Kenneth Udo had disclosed that the person seen in the video has been identified and consequently invited for further investigation.

‘If the allegations are substantiated, her actions would have constituted a breach of Section 10(b) of the Immigration Act 2015 (as amended), with corresponding penalties outlined under Section 10(h) of the same Act.

The Nigeria Immigration Service remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the provisions of the Immigration Act in the interest of national security, and to preserving the dignity and integrity of the nation’s legal instruments’  he had submitted.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that this may not be necessary any longer as the purported owner of the passport has clarified that the entire incident was actually staged as a skit.

In a video posted on  Instagram , the controversial husband of the woman in the said video , who was joined by his children, begged Nigerians to forgive him and understand his situation.

He noted that what his wife held in the video  was not a real  passport, adding that as a Nigerian, he cannot go against the laws of the country.

‘What my wife tore is not passport, she never tore my passport, she never spoilt my passport, we are doing a skit, this is somebody’s story of what happened that we are passing to the world. But I didn’t even know it would go viral.

Please, I’m begging everybody, this is not passport, my passport is intact. Nobody should drag this thing through the mud.

We are sorry, we cannot defile the law of Nigeria, we are full bonafide Nigerians, we cannot go against the law by destroying the passport of Nigeria, it is not possible’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
