X.com: Gov Sanwolu Finally Unblocks Festus Ogun After ‘Peace Meeting’ In Lagos
Human rights lawyer, Mr Festus Ogun can henceforth interact with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on X.com (formerly twitter).
Recall that the governor had blocked the lawyer on X.com and Festus had accused the Lagos State Chief Executive of rights violations.
He had filed a lawsuit against Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Federal High Court in Lagos for allegedly violating his fundamental rights.
In the suit marked FHC/L/CS/1739/25, the lawyer had submitted that the governor’s decision to block him on X.com since 2021, was in reaction to his ‘constructive criticisms’ and ‘demand for accountability’ over the October 2020 #EndSARS killings.
‘In 2021, I noticed that the governor blocked me on his official X handle @jidesanwoolu owing to my constructive criticisms of his policies and demand for accountability in respect of the October 2020 #EndSARS Massacre’ he had submitted.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the lawyer has not only confirmed that the governor has unblocked him on X.com, but also noted in an Instagram post on Saturday that he personally invited him for a brief meeting to address his complaints.
‘Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unblocked me on X (Twitter). I met briefly with him yesterday at Lagos House Marina, on his invitation, to amicably resolve my complaint of human rights violations. We will continue to hold authorities accountable, regardless.
