Yaman Says Judiciary Deserves ‘Better Deal’ From Govt…Congratulates Justice Adewara On His Appointment As  Kwara Acting CJ

Kwara State PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alh. Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, has congratulated Justice Abiodun Ayodele Adebara on his appointment as Acting Chief Judge.

It will be recalled that Adebara ,who was  appointed as acting Chief Judge of Kwara state sequel to  Justice  Dorosinlorun Kawu’s retirement from the bench ,was sworn in by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Thursday.

Kawu was until Wednesday, the Chief Judge of Kwara state.

Justice Abiodun Ayodele Adebara

‘Hon. Justice Abiodun Adewara not only deserves and merits  his appointment as acting Chief Judge as the most senior Judge on the bench but  he has also discharged his judicial responsibility without fear or favour, affection or ill will, while demonstrating unparalleled leadership and administrative qualities’ Alhaji Yaman submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy , Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba on Friday.

While congratulating the immediate past Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Durosinlorun Kawu, OFR, for what he called his untainted and unblemished almost 40 years of meritorious service to the state, Alh. Yaman however urged the state government to do more with regard to improving the welfare of civil servants in the state.

‘Our judiciary, as the beacon of hope and sustenance of democracy, deserves a better deal from government’ he added.

Alhaji Shuaib Abdulahi Yaman

According to the PDP gubernatorial candidate, ‘a situation where judges, magistrates and some permanent secretaries go to offices in commercial vehicles, while sunset political office holders who contribute little or nothing to the growth and development of the state, ride in exotic cars, is not only antithetical to the principle of good governance but also endangers democracy’.

‘Government must not only compensate career officers for their services to the state after retirement but also provide necessities of life for them while still in service.

Recently, some kind-hearted individuals renovated and equipped the state High Court because the government had failed in respect of some of its basic responsibilities’ the statement added- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
