You’re Using EFCC As Instrument Of Oppression-Bauchi Governor….Anyone Who Has Headache Even Amusingly Says I’m Responsible-Wike

The governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Bala Mohammed has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has become instrument of oppression while adding that those who are using the anti-graft agency to ‘persecute’ his cabinet members include the FCT minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.

Governor Bala Mohammed, who said this while appearing on Channels Television’s  Sunrise Daily programme on Thursday, alleged that he is being ‘persecuted’ because he has refused to leave PDP for APC.

 Recall that Bauchi State Commissioner for Finance, Yakubu Adamu, who was arraigned on Tuesday, is facing N5.79 billion money laundering and terrorism financing charges.

‘The president is surrounded by hooligans and charlatans who want to destroy me. Some want me to join the APC, some don’t want — like Wike.

Wike is a big drag on the administration, and the president should know. I have nothing against him (Wike). He wants to destroy me’ Governor Bala submitted.

The Bauchi State governor, who is the chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum, also said it is impossible to allow the FCT Minister to be a member of two political parties at the same time.

‘He is an undertaker in our party ,the PDP. He is not there as a genuine member of our party, and I fought him. I was even at the secretariat when he went there to take over.

You cannot be in two places at the same time. It is against the rule of nature. He is with them’ he added.

Commenting on the terrorism financing allegations against him, Governor Bala Mohammed said he has petitioned the Justice minister, Barrister Lateef Fagbemi SAN, heads of security agencies, and the international community.

‘I am a serving governor, and my state is the most secure state in the northeast, if not in northern Nigeria. And we did this through knowledge, wisdom, and nothing of that sort had been associated with me.

But I know the shenanigans. I see the mud-slinging, people giving a dog a name to hang it. Opposition leaders like me must be destroyed; otherwise, there is no reason somebody can associate me with banditry.

And I think I need to clear myself at every level. I’m bothered because my name and integrity will be destroyed.

I’m a politician; a rising politician, a leader of the opposition. To be accused of terrorism, is very painful. One of my nephews was mentioned in the corruption charge, and there was nothing like that — nothing’ he added.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Barrister Nyesom Wike had since reacted to the allegations raised against him by Governor Bala Mohammed noting that everyone now blames him for their predicaments event if it is headache.

Speaking in Abua-Odual during his thank-you visit to the local government on Thursday, Barrister Nyesom Wike said the Bauchi State governor should not have dared to tackle him if he had realized that he is that powerful and influential..

‘I watched what Governor Bala said. That all the problems he’s having, that I’m the one behind it, because I said I’ll put fire in his state. So, if you know I have such a power, why are you fighting?

Bala came to my state to impose party leaders. I told him to be careful or else, he’ll see crisis. Today, he doesn’t have a party to bring his successor, and this is what I warned them. If you know you don’t have the strength to fight, why not go and rest.

Now, EFCC is chasing him, and he’s saying it’s me. What’s my business? If your state is clean, go there and clear yourself.

Anybody that has stroke, it’s Wike. The ones with headache, it’s Wike. The ones in Sokoto, Wike. You’re in Taraba, Wike, you’re in Lagos, Wike, you’re in Bauchi, Wike. Leave this Wike.
