2 Kidnaping Accomplices Arrested In Kwara
Sauni Shehu and Auwalu Bala, who are residents of Kwara State, have been arrested for being accomplices to the kidnapping incident that occurred in Ifelodun local government recently.
Ifelodun local government is in Kwara South senatorial district.
Spokesperson for Kwara State police command, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, a Superintendent of Police, who disclosed this in a statement she issued in Ilorin on Friday and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com, specifically noted that Sauni and Auwalu played roles in the abduction of three victims at Ogele Fulani Camp, near Igbaja.
‘The relentless pursuit of criminal elements and everyone connected to their activities continues to yield tangible results as members of the Kwara State Police Command have arrested two suspects for their alleged roles in facilitating the kidnapping of three people in Ifelodun Local Government. This arrest underscores the state police command’s unwavering resolve to ensure that criminal networks, including their collaborators and informants, are identified, dismantled, and brought to justice in line with its commitment to protecting lives and property.
The suspects, Sauni Shehu and Auwalu Bala, are currently under investigation for alleged criminal conspiracy, aiding and abetting kidnapping, and kidnapping. Their arrest followed discreet intelligence-led investigations which linked them to the abduction of three victims at Ogele Fulani Camp, via Igbaja, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The suspects are currently assisting the Police with useful information as efforts have been intensified to identify and apprehend every other member of the criminal syndicate.
The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo psc, mnips, reassures residents that the state police command remains resolute in advancing the policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM, which is anchored on intelligence-led policing, proactive crime prevention, and the protection of lives and property’ the statement said.
