2026 Osun Guber: Gov Adeleke Seeks Punitive Actions, Visa Ban For Oyetola, Senator Fadahunsi, Others

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has asked the British Government to take punitive actions against Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, Rep Wole Oke and other APC bigwigs, who have according to him, aided and promoted political violence in the state.

He has also sought visa ban for them.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s spokesperson, Mr Olawale Rasheed noted that he said this when a delegation of the British government officials visited him at the Government House, Osogbo on Monday ahead of the August 15, 2026 gubernatorial election.

Governor Adeleke alleged that the aforementioned people have actively promoted political violence in the state through their cronies and allies, leading to killings and gun attacks across the state.

While commending security chiefs for taking measures to stop the violence, the governor accused the people in question of tactfully and openly encouraging violence, once again, declaring his stance against violence and urging security agencies to arrest any suspect no matter the political affiliation.

‘I have zero tolerance for violence. I have told the Inspector General of Police that if my son is involved, he should be arrested. I told the world that we harbour no thugs anywhere and the police can and should arrest any suspect. There must be strict law enforcement’ he said.

Governor Adeleke, who asked security agencies to go after political thugs and their sponsors, said publicly available utterances and actions of top Osun APC leaders and chieftains justify his call for economic sanctions and visa ban for them.

‘I believe we must have a deterrent against those promoting political violence. We seek visa ban for politicians sponsoring killings and violent attacks. We advocate for similar sanctions against security chiefs aiding and abetting such anti-democratic activities.

Election is not about bloodshed. Osun deserves the peace and freedom to make their choice about who govern them. There must be consequences for those deliberately endangering the lives of our people for selfish political gains’ the governor told the British team led by the Senior Political Advisor, Wale Adebajo-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
