31-Year-Old Man Planning To Kidnap Aunt He Had Lived With For 10 Years Arrested In Delta

Chukwemeka Destiny, who is 31 years old, has been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Delta State.  He was accused of planning to kidnap his aunt and demand for ransom.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Chukwemeka Destiny was presented to the public at the headquarters of the Delta State Police Command, Asaba on Saturday by the command’s spokesman, SP Edafe Bright.

Being business-minded, Destiny had paid N900,000 to people he had contacted and asked to abduct his aunt while he had planned to demand ransom later which will defray expenses.

Edafe noted that Destiny had lived with his aunt for 10 years, from age five to 15, before leaving without anyone knowing his whereabouts.

‘We’ve had cases where workers killed their employer. We’ve had cases where security men killed their bosses just because they wanted to run away with their jewelry.

All of a sudden something just came up to Destiny’s mind that let me kidnap my aunt who trained me, who saw me through school, and that was what he did’ he said.

Destiny, he added, made two separate payments to those he had contacted to abduct his aunt, an initial deposit of N200,000 while the second  payment was N700,000.

‘Unknown to him that the people he contacted were not kidnappers. They rather used him as bait, got him and handed him over to the police thereby saving the life of his aunt’ he said.

Destiny, who is into haulage business, confirmed that he paid those he had contacted to help him kidnap his aunt while however blaming devil for his action.

 ‘Sincerely speaking to you, I am guilty of what really happened. I don’t know what came over me. I can’t tell.

 Yes sir. It is devil’s work.

I made a deposit of 200,000 at first. Then the next day I made a deposit of 700,000 making it 900,000’  he said.

The aunt, who said Destiny is the son of her elder sister, noted that she was shocked when she was informed of the plot to kidnap her.
