Assembly Election: Why Civil Servants Should Vote For Our Candidates- Osun APC

Ahead of the House of Assembly election scheduled to hold on   March 11  ,  Osun state APC has asked citizens and residents of the state especially the civil servants not to get swayed by what the party described as ‘jejune and insipid achievements’ of the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration.

Acting state APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement  made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi told workers in the state not to vote for  the PDP candidates in the upcoming House of Assembly election  submitting that  ‘Governor Adeleke has proved to be monumentally deficient in the qualities required to successfully govern a complex state like Osun’.

The statement claimed  that   actions taken by Governor Adeleke to satisfy the yearnings of the civil servants are not genuine but rather  borne out of hypocritical consideration that could be likened to a mere political infatuation intended to swindle the innocent civil servants in the long run.

The acting State APC chairman, who added that it would be pointless  reminding the civil servants  of what happened to  their kinsmen   that were allegedly slaughtered across the state especially in Ijesaland by the PDP thugs allegedly at the instance of Governor Adeleke in order to forcefully win elections for the PDP candidates.

The  statement urged  workers  and the entire people of the state  to vote for the APC candidates  on Satuday reminding them that former Governor Gboyega Oyetola  had promised them  payment of full salaries, pensions and gratuities as and when due which was the pledge he had kept until his last day in the office during his first term.

The civil servants were urged  to reject all the PDP  candidates as  the Adeleke administration  had  sacked   1,500 teachers out of the 2,500 teachers recruited by the Oyetola government among which a few number of them had allegedly  died of frustration.

Lawal also recalled that the 10,000 O’YES cadets, who were sacked by Adeleke about three weeks ago, would not along with their friends, relations and well-wishers, see any need  to vote  for the PDP candidates .

The  500 health workers  sacked by  Governor Adeleke, their relations and friends would  also according to the statement  look forward to the House of Assembly election to reject the PDP House of Assembly candidates.

Families and subjects of the traditional rulers  in the state,  who were made  not to know what lie ahead of them,   and families , friends and associates of  local government  chairmen, councilors  and other local government political functionaries,  and the permanent secretaries whose promotions and appointments were unjustifiably reversed by Adeleke will also not according to the party support the PDP candidates.

‘The market women leaders (the Iyalojas) and their numerous members across the state who Adeleke  maliciously and forcefully seized official vehicles from and the disbanded O’Meal operators that Adeleke threw into the labour market would not see any reason to  work for the success of the PDP candidates  on Saturday’  Lawal said.

He also added that  members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), who were sacked by the Adeleke administration and have allegedly been constantly terrorized, attacked, harassed and killed by the PDP thugs, would not see any need  to vote for the PDP candidates.

Lawal also opined that Adeleke’s refusal to pay the last year’s November salaries of all the political functionaries who served under former Governor Oyetola despite the fact that  his predecessor had appropriated the fund for the salaries and his refusal to extend the payment of half salaries of two months to the political appointees  will spell doom for the PDP candidates.

The statement  added that the Ijesa people  harbour a deep resentment against   the Adeleke administration for malignantly,  maliciously and spitefully suspending  activities on the Ilesa University (IU) project despite the fact that the Ijesa communities had raised over N2 billion for its take-off- Team@orientactualmags.com
