Incoming Administration  ‘ll Review Lamido Sanusi’s Removal As Emir Of Kano -Kwankwaso

A prominent politician in the country, who had recently regained his position as political godfather in Kano state, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has made a disclosure that would definitely unsettle the outgoing governor of Kano state, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje and others.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned Kwankwaso, a former senator, a one-time Defence minister and a former governor of Kano state, has disclosed that the incoming administration in the state will review the decision to remove Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi as Emir of Kano.

Sanusi was appointed as Emir of Kano by the Kwankwaso administration.

Governor Ganduje had  in his eight years as governor did a lot of things that had influenced the course of history especially when it comes to chieftaincy matters.

It will be recalled that in 2019, the House of Assembly approved the creation of four additional emirate councils, bringing the number of First Class Emirs in the state to five.

The new councils are Gaya; Karaye, Rano, Bichi and the old Kano Emirate Council.

Apart from creating new emirate councils, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi was also removed as Emir of Kano in  March 2020 .

Kano state House of Assembly had also earlier this month passed the Kano Emirate Council Amendment Bill, 2019 into Law during the plenary session presided over by Speaker Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.

Speaking in a viral video, Kwankwaso said the decisions in question would be reviewed by the incoming administration which would be headed by Alhaji  Abba Kabir Yusuf.

‘We have campaigned and as you know we are popular in Nigeria especially in Kano state, we are now back and God willing we will continue with the good works our administration left. This incoming governor and his team will take them up.

As elders, we will continue to advise them to do the right thing. We tried not to intervene in respect of the issue of bringing or removing any Emir, but now, an opportunity has come.

Those who  have been given this opportunity will sit down and see to the issues. They will look at what they are expected to do.  Apart from the Emir, even the emirate has been divided into five places. All these need to be studied. Usually a leader inherits good and  bad and issues that are hard to reconcile’ he said.
