ENACT Praises Gov AbdulRazaq’s Strategic Investment In Security, Economic Growth And Infrastructural Devt

Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, who is the Founder of ENACT, has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for pursuing a development agenda that recognizes the relationship between physical security, economic opportunities and infrastructure in improving the welfare of residents of Kwara State.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi noted that the Abdulrazaq administration’s sustained support for security agencies, community protection initiatives and inter-agency collaboration reflects a practical commitment to protecting lives, safeguarding livelihoods and strengthening public confidence.

‘A notable example is the recent presentation of 25 additional Toyota Hilux vehicles to the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Police Force as part of a broader plan to provide approximately 100 vehicles to security agencies. The intervention is expected to improve operational mobility, strengthen patrol coverage and enhance responses to security threats, particularly in hard-to-reach communities’ he said.

Engineer Adeyemi also acknowledged the administration’s support for forest guards, community-based security structures and joint operations, including Operation Harmony, alongside collaboration with federal security institutions. He further commended the government’s financial assistance to the families of fallen forest guards, vigilantes and community fighters, describing it as an important recognition of their sacrifices in protecting lives and communities.

‘Security is fundamental to development. When people feel safe, farmers can access their fields, businesses can operate, investors can commit resources and communities can pursue economic opportunities. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq deserves commendation for strengthening the operational capacity of security agencies while promoting a coordinated response to the state’s security challenges’ he said.

The ENACT Founder also emphasized that sustainable security must go hand in hand with economic empowerment, job creation and measures that ease the cost-of-living pressures on households noting that expanding access to employment, vocational and digital skills, entrepreneurship support and productive economic activities can improve livelihoods, strengthen community resilience and give young people more opportunities to build sustainable futures.

According to him, a safer environment also creates the conditions for businesses to grow, agricultural activities to expand and private-sector investment to generate jobs across the state.

He urged the government to sustain efforts that support small businesses, boost local production, improve access to essential services and strengthen household purchasing power, stressing that the ultimate measure of economic progress is its impact on the everyday lives of citizens.

Engineer Adeyemi also praised the Abdulrazaq administration’s focus on physical infrastructure, noting that roads, bridges, electricity and other public facilities are essential to economic growth and effective security operations.

He noted that improved road networks facilitate the movement of security personnel and emergency responders while connecting rural communities to markets, healthcare, education and other essential services. Better infrastructure also reduces barriers to trade, supports agricultural value chains and makes communities more attractive to investors.

The aerospace engineer added that security and infrastructure reinforce each other: safer communities encourage investment, while improved connectivity enables security agencies to operate more effectively and residents to access economic opportunities.

He stressed the importance of sustaining infrastructure development across Kwara’s three senatorial districts to ensure that the benefits of government investment reach both urban centres and rural communities.

Engineer Adeyemi also called for continued collaboration among government institutions, security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, businesses and residents to consolidate the state’s security and development gains.

He also emphasised the need for effective monitoring of security interventions, responsible use of public resources and regular assessment of their impact on the safety and welfare of residents.

He urged citizens to support security agencies by providing credible and timely information, noting that community participation remains essential to preventing crime and maintaining peace.

‘Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s investments in security should be seen as part of a broader effort to build a Kwara where people can live without fear, businesses can thrive, young people can access opportunities and communities can benefit from sustainable infrastructure.

The priority must be to sustain these investments and translate them into measurable improvements in the lives of our people. A secure and economically resilient Kwara is better positioned to attract investment, create jobs and achieve lasting prosperity’ he said.

Engineer  Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun reaffirmed ENACT’s commitment to promoting innovation, youth empowerment and community development, expressing optimism that stronger collaboration between government, the private sector and local communities would contribute to a safer, more inclusive and prosperous Kwara State-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
