35-Year- Old Notorious Ritualist Who Made Attempt To Bribe Police Officers Arrested In Ogun
35-year- old Ifasoji Ayangbesan, has been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Ogun state.
He was said to have been involved in the killing and dismembering of the body of Oyindamola Adeyemi in Ijebu- Ode on January 28 2023.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Spokesman for Ogun state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement he issued in Abeokuta on Sunday.
Oyeyemi said the suspect, Ifasoji Ayangbesan already had members of his gang arrested but had however been on the run.
He was however apprehended following painstaking intelligence and investigation carried out by the cops attached to the Obalende divisional headquarters which led them to his hideout in the Ijade Iloti area of Ijebu Ode.
‘Policemen attached to Ogun state Police Command on the 28th of April 2023 arrested a member of notorious ritualist syndicate, who killed and dismembered the body of one Oyindamola Adeyemi in Ijebu Ode on the 28th of January 2023.
The suspect had earlier been indicted by members of the syndicate for buying two legs of the victim, but fled the town immediately he heard that his name has been mentioned by his colleagues.
Since then, the DPO Obalende division, SP Murphy Salami, had detailed his detectives to be on his trail with a view to arresting him and possibly recovering the deceased victim’s two legs from him and to also prosecute him along with his colleague criminals.
Luck however ran against him when he was apprehended at his Ijade Iloti hideout on the 28th of April 2023.
Immediately he was arrested, the suspect made an offer of one million naira bribe to the policemen, which was rejected.
During interrogation, he confessed to being part of the syndicate that killed Oyindamola Adeyemi, adding that he was the one who cut off the two legs of the deceased victim which he claimed he has used for ritual purpose’ the statement said-Team@orientactualmags.com
