Petrol Subsidy: Osun Govt Gives Update On Bags Of Rice Received From FG…To Announce ‘Distribution Method’ Soon
Osun state government has given an update on the bags of rice received from the Federal Government while disclosing that finishing touches are being put to the ‘ distribution method’ .
Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Hon Kolapo Alimi, in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Monday noted that ‘the state is expecting the second batch of the ‘food aid’ provided by the Federal Government and an outstanding 600 bags of rice from the first batch.
The Federal Government had come up with the ‘food aid’ programme sequel to the removal of petrol subsidy and its concomitant hardships.
Alimi added that the second batch being expected includes 14,516 bags of 50kg rice and 3, 200MT of maize.
The statement further quoted the federal government team as submitting in a message that ‘We hereby wish to inform you that the second batch of federal government food palliative distribution is poised to commence as soon as possible, and you are scheduled to receive 14,516 bags of 50kg rice and 3,200MT of maize’.
Hon Alimi said the update given was to keep the public abreast of development on the upcoming distribution of food parcels, restating that ‘there is an outstanding 600 bags of rice from the first batch’.
He assured that all segments of the society would benefit from the ‘food aid’ programme.
‘The state Government wants to ensure full delivery before starting the distribution. We assure the public of transparency and accountability in the sharing of the food parcels to the residents of the state’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com
