NMDPRA: Kwaran Appointed Legal Adviser As President Tinubu Nominates 6 As Executive Directors
President Bola Tinubu on Friday nominated six individuals as executive directors of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA)..
The six nominees comprise three individuals nominated for reappointment and three new faces who will serve a five-year term if confirmed by the Senate.
Team@orientactualmags.com reports that the president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, announced the appointments in a statement he issued on Friday.
In a letter sent to the senate, which was dated October 30, 2026, President Tinubu noted that the three renominated executive directors are Mr Abiodun Adeniji, Executive Director, Finance and Accounts; Mr Ogbugo Ukoha, Executive Director, Distribution Systems, Storage and Retailing Infrastructure; and Dr Mustapha Lamorde, Executive Director, Health, Safety, Environment and Community.
The three new nominees are Mr Mobolaji Musa, Executive Director, Hydrocarbon Processing Plants, Installations and Transportation Infrastructure; Ms Ogechukwu Modie, Executive Director, Economic Regulations and Strategic Planning; and Mr Said Abutalib, Executive Director, Corporate Services and Administration.
‘The president urged the Senate to consider the nominations expeditiously to ensure institutional continuity and strengthen the Authority’s oversight capacity’ the statement read.
Mr Onanuga noted that President Bola Tinubu also approved the appointment of Jumoke Gafar as Secretary to the Board and Legal Adviser, subject to completion of the statutory processes under Section 46 of the Petroleum Industry Act.
