Kwara state government has disclosed that no programme will be held in the state to celebrate the nation’s 63rd Independence Day on Sunday, October 1st.

Commissioner for Communications, Mrs. Bolanle Olukoju, who disclosed this in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday, noted that this was done to reflect the mood of the nation while urging prayers for Kwara state and Nigeria as a whole.

‘The Kwara state Government wishes to inform members of the public that there will be no elaborate ceremony of any kind on October 1, 2023.

This is to reflect the mood of the nation amid ongoing reforms and strong efforts of the government to ensure sustainable development.
