Foremost Diplomat, Abdulkadir Sambo, Dies At 90…He Was ‘A Fine Public Officer’ -Kwara Gov
One of Nigeria’s foremost diplomats, Ambassador Abdulkadir Muhammad Sambo Imam, is dead.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned he died in Ilorin , Kwara state capital, on Friday.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq was among dignitaries that attended the Islamic Funeral Prayer (Salatul Janazah) held for the deceased at his Ilorin GRA residence on Friday.
Governor Abdulrasaq has also issued a statement to mourn the death of the nonagenarian and offered his condolences.
He described the late diplomat as a great statesman, who contributed immensely to national, state and community development.
‘Our heartfelt condolences go to the family, friends, and everyone, who mourns the late diplomat, a fine public officer, who represented Nigeria at different countries at different times. At 90, he was one of the last persons standing of his noble generation.
We beseech Allah, the Lord of the worlds, to repose the soul of the great diplomat and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. We also ask Allah to comfort and strengthen the family after his death’ he said– Team@orientactualmags.com
