Lucky Aiyedatiwa Takes Oath Of Office In Akure, Says Akeredolu’s Death Unfortunate, Devastating
Mr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa , who was born on January 12 , 1965, has been sworn as the new governor of Ondo state.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Olusegun Odusola, presided over the oath taking ceremony in Akure, the state capital.
Aiyedatiwa has gotten elevated to a higher position following the passing of his former boss, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu earlier in the day.
In his short speech, Aiyedatiwa described the death of Akeredolu as unfortunate and promised to continue with his projects and policies.
‘The death of our governor and leader was a devastating shock to the people of the state. It’s a colossal loss to the state and Nigeria.
The people of South West will be eternally grateful to him for the establishment of Amotekun, which has reduced the menace of banditry, kidnapping and other criminality in the region’ he said.
While noting that Akeredolu’s record of performance was monumental and unprecedented, Aiyedatiwa also condoled with the deceased governor’s family, the traditional ruler of Owo, and the people of the state.
Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa became the Deputy Governor of the Sunshine State on February 24 , 2021 after Governor Rotimi Akeredolu won re-election.
He had become Akeredolu’s running mate after the former Deputy Governor, Mr. Agboola Ajayi left the APC for PDP and later the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) ahead of the gubernatorial election that was held on October 10,2020-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
