Ex-Gov Abdufatah Ahmed Mourns Peter Kisira’s Passing…Calls Him ‘Humble’, ‘Compassionate’ Person
Former governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Abdufatah Ahmed has mourned the death of his former deputy, Elder Peter Kisira commiserating with the retired Permanent Secretary’s family members and friends .
Elder Peter Kisira, who was a two -term deputy governor of kwara state from 2011 to 2019, under Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, died on Saturday morning at the age of 74.
Alhaji Ahmed in a statement he issued in Abuja which was made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his media aide, Alhaji Wahab Oba said the death of the former deputy governor ‘is a great loss not only to Kwara but Nigeria as a whole’.
He described the deceased politician as a refined, committed, and loyal person who served the state with utmost fear of God while adding that he loved the state dearly.
The statement added that as a distinguished former public servant and later deputy governor of the state, Elder Kisra was a repository of due diligence and he had an exemplary passion for the growth and development of the state.
‘With sadness in my heart, I commiserate with the families, friends, and associates of the late former deputy governor. My heart also goes out to the Emir of Ilesha Baruba over the death of an illustrious son of the kingdom, Elder Peter Kisira’ he said.
The former governor also condoled with Kwarans over the loss of ‘this humble and compassionate person’ , who, he noted, played a key role in the development of this state, while adding that his legacy will be remembered for a very long time to come.
